It has just occurred to me a second trip of connection I must make this year.

As I continue to struggle against my hellish past of childhood abuse, the damage it wrought on my own family and the search for connection with who I am and what I believe, I decided to make my upcoming trip to Israel, Portugal, Spain and France.

I now know I must make another as well. On September 10th, 1964, I was born and given the name of John Fitzgerald. I must travel to Deally plaza to the site where this American hero and Catholic martyr left this earth.
