Another change of scenery- even if by necessity of work

In the past 10 days, I have slept in 5 different locations;

  1. Dulles, Virginia

  2. Schererville, Indiana

  3. Green Bay, Wisconsin

  4. Darien, Illinois

  5. Manassas, Virginia

Tonight, though it's work related, I have yet another change of scenery as I'm staying in Washington, DC. It happened on short notice and it's going to be a bit taxing but there may be some truth to that old adage that a change can do you good. Sleeping in 6 different locations in 10 days is certainly a changeup. Sometimes, even a little change can shake you out of a rut.

So, while I sit here in this hotel, I just thought I'd map out my travel plans for the rest of the year.

September. Labor Day weekend. The plan is to attend the Notre Dame game vs Wisconsin at Lambeau field in Green Bay. Also included will be a return trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Champion.

October. I intend to visit my 20th state. It will be either Texas to visit the location where John Kennedy lost his life or New Mexico for the Loretto staircase. This will be coordinated with a trip to Mexico to see the miraculous Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This will be my 6th miraculous Marian location and at least my 9th miraculous location overall! It will also be the 7th and 8th different airport in the last year.

November. State #21 will be Alabama as I visit the EWTN studios. I will then drive to Georgia and make it state #22, flying from there for an incredible 2-week trip to Israel!

  • Nazareth

  • The Sea of Galilee

  • Mount Tabor

  • Cana

  • Caesarea, Martima

  • Mount Carmel

  • The Dead Sea

  • Jericho

  • Ein Karem

  • Bethlehem

  • Jerusalem

Georgia will be my 9th different airport, Tel Aviv my 10th, and coming back, a stopover in Amsterdam will be the 11th. Miracle sites? Only the sites of the Annunciation, walking on water, Transfiguration, Fish and Loaves miracle, water into wine, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, challenge to prophets of Baal, John jumping in the womb, birth of Jesus and the Resurrection!

Leaving Georgia, to head home, I'll cut through South Carolina- State #23.

In 2027, I'll hit at least 3 more to get me over half! God willing.

2026 is looking like fun!
