A busy morning devoted to a Catholic response

For the 3rd straight day, I prayed a Rosary in a cemetary for the repose of a family member. The first was for my father Alfred Frank Benko who died on February 25th, 2013. The second was for my brother Alfred George Benko (Fred) who died on July 16th, 2015. Today, I prayed for Fred's twin Michael Charles Benko who died, Rosary in hand, on September 16th, 2015.
In each case, I prayed that if they did not need, or could not benefit from, said Plenary Indulgence, that it be given to the person Our Lord and Our Lady would choose.
Following that, I did something that I had been struggling with to a great extent- I voted.
The Ballot questions were easy. Easier access to abortion? NO Remove the ban on gay marriage? NO. Allow convicted felons to vote? NO
Who to vote for, if anyone, was a tougher nut for me. Should I simply do what I have done in every election since 1984- vote straight Red? Was it time to not vote for a cantidate at all, or dare I cross party lines, to send a message to the GOP that we are tired of being sold out and betrayed over and over and over again?
To make this important decision, I listened to the closing arguments.
Let me share some with you. First, let's go with Trump himself who has apparently gone full homosexual. This is Trump in his own words. Listen to the clip.
Is that the kind of language you want to hear from the President of the United States? You must be so proud marching through the streets with your fag flag.
Next, let's listen to Catholic Megyn Kelly, one of the most respected Conservative Catholic voices in America. Listen to what Megyn has to say.
One of the most respected Republican voices there is just said that if you are still clapping for Trump, you are a lunatic. I don't know that I can disagree.
Need more?
How about Marjorie Taylor Greene?. A Conservative firebrand who was a leader in the MAGA army. Surely, she is still on board with Trump? Well... Listen to MTG.
How many more do you need?
Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Joe Kent, Carrie Prejean Boller, Alex Jones? Even Charlie Kirk was turning on Trump before he was killed.
Sooner or later, you have to stop suppressing the vomit reflex. You have to stop pretending to see the emperor's new clothes and admit that there are no new clothes, just a disgusting old senile pervert narcissist monster bringing nothing but shame and humiliation to the country.
What made President John Kennedy special? He had honor. Trump has no honor. John Kennedy once said "Sometimes, party loyalty just asks too much"
Consider whether or not this is one of those times. While you are thinking that over, listen to the words of Doctor Larissa Portnoff.
Then start listening to your own ears, start seeing with your own eyes. Trump is a monster. You know it, I know.
Trump told us to vote as if he is on the ballot. I just did. Straight Democrat. Until the Republican party is willing to cut Trump loose, there can be no redemption for them. It is up to you- the voter- to force their hand. Stop telling me the Republican party is entitled to my vote and start rebuilding a Republican party worthy of my vote.
Today is a day of reckoning. Today is Independence Day. Today, we effectively fire the worst President in American history.
