Updated weather forecast for the upcoming trip

Taking this trip is very important to me and I'm really looking forward to it. I fully realize that the timing of a trip to Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin is not at all suited for January, but I have to work around the opportunities my job allows.

I knew my chances of an unexpected warm spell in this area were not good and the long-term forecast is certainly confirming that. It will be seriously cold. Single digits at times.

However, it looks like I will be avoiding a storm of snow, Ice, hail, sleet or freezing rain. That is as good as I could have hoped for. Thanks be to God.

I arrive in Chicago, mid-morning on the 17th. From there, I will drive to Saint John, Indiana to visit the Shrine of Christ's Passion and spend the night a few miles away.

On the morning of the 18th, I will drive to Champion, Wisconsin and spend the day at the only approved Marian apparition site in America, the Shrine of Our Lady of Hope (Champion). I will spend the night in nearby Green Bay, Wisconsin.

On the 19th, it's off to Darien, Illinois and the Shrine and museum of Saint Therese of Lisieux. I'll spend the night in that town then return to Chicago for the flight home on the 20th.
