Trump is right on this one

I have made no bones about my willingness to disagree with trump when He is wrong, so I have credibility on this issue. He is dead on with regards to his position here. The Filibuster has got to go, at least in its current form.

All of these arguments for keeping it are easily refuted.

Argument #1- The filibuster forces deliberation and compromise.

Reality; What the filibuster forces is pork and abuse. Since everyone know 60 votes are needed, Senators prostitute themselves by selling their vote- on any bill- for special favors that, more often than not, have nothing to do with the bill.

Argument #2- The filibuster stops bad legislation from being passed.

Reality: Seriously? Show me one example. The filibuster only prevents good legislation from being passed.

Argument #3- If we do away with the filibuster, the democrats will do away with it, if they regain power.

Reality: They will do it anyway. So, scrap the filibuster, do your job and the dems will never regain power.
