To love Jesus is not enough

Matthew 5 gives us that very challenging charge "Love your enemies". How hard this is. How many Republicans today do you think are praying for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris? How many Democrats are praying for Donald Trump and JD Vance? Does either side have a moral leg to stand on in this regard? How many Jews are praying for the Palestinians and vice versa?

It is not enough to claim we love Jesus. If we truly love Jesus, we should want to emulate him. Jesus loved Judas and desired his salvation. Who was praying for Judas? Who wasn't?

While the demon of Medjugorje lies and says that nearly all souls will be saved, the actual Mother of Jesus (at Fatima) told us that many souls...many will be lost simply because they have no one else to pray for them. There is a thought that should sober us all.

Each day, make it a point to pray for the souls with no one else to pray for them:

  1. For those in purgatory

  2. For those alone, forsaken, carrying heavy burdens

  3. For those in danger of an unprovided death.

#3 is the most important. It is critical that we pray God's mercy on those that are most deserving of God's wrath. They have no other hope and Jesus wills that they be saved too.

So great is Our Lord's desire for mercy that he gave us the Divine Mercy Devotion. You can catch it everyday on the #1 catholic show on Blogtalkradio! 3:00 PM Eastern time.

The Divine Mercy chaplet is one of the most powerful ways to pray for the conversion of hardened sinners. It really can make a difference!
