A wise man once said that it is better for a man to remain silent, and be presumed a fool, than to open his mouth and remove all doubt.

Donald Hartley should learn from this. I have seldom ever encountered someone with such an ability to say things so monumentally stupid as to leave the listener stunned.

Hartley's latest gaffe is to say that Medjugorje compares to Lourdes and Fatima.

Huh?

How many ways are they different? Let's review.

1. Lourdes and Fatima are both approved. Lourdes was approved after only 4 years. Fatima after 13. Medjugorje has been lumbering on for 45 years, 4 Popes, 22 Bishops examining it. It has not ever and will not ever be approved.

2. Miraculous cures. Both Fatima and Lourdes have had spectacular medical cures verified by independent medical examiners. With Lourdes, those cures have been in the thousands. Medjugorje? Nothing.

3. Verified public miraculous events. The sun danced at Fatima witnessed by 70,000 people. I stood in the spot where it happened. In Lourdes, a miraculous spring appeared out of nowhere. I have seen it with my own eyes. In Medjugorje? Zilch. Not one verified public miracle in 45 years.

4. A definitive theme. In Lourdes, a stunning confirmation of the doctrine of the Immaculate conception. In Fatima, a frightening confirmation of hell and a stern warning of the grave consequences of sin. Medjugorje? Universalism, disobedience, confirmation of the occult, perversion and " Dear children, pray" 50,000 times.

5. Prophecy. In Lourdes, prophecies over the suffering Bernadette, in Fatima, stunning prophecies of WW II, the Auroura Boerallis, Russia and an assasination attempt on a future Pope. No prophecy of Medjugorje has come true or ever will.

6. The messages. In Lourdes and Fatima, all the messages are cohesive, doctrinally sound and spiritually nourishing. Medjugorje's messages are the worst load of sugary piffle you have ever read. Nothing of substance, whatsoever and much of it straight up blasphemy.

7. The Visions. Bernadette unknowingly held her hand over a candle flame and didnt flinch. Witnesses at Fatima saw a light over the children. At Medjugorje, fake seer Vicka about jumped out of her socks because someone poked a finger at her.

8. The clergy. The Bishops and Priests at Lourdes and Fatima were fiercely loyal to the church and defended the visionairres against the authority. At Medjugorje? A collection of perverts and miscreants who impregnated a nun, conjured up demons, lied about messages, molested pilgrims, defied the Pope and Bishops and openly taught heresy.

9. The visionaries? Martyrs and Saints. Jacinta, Francisco and Bernadette all sufferred greatly and died young. Bernadette and Lucia entered the religious life. All found to be of remarkable courage and integrity. Medjugorje? 6 lying millionaire hucksters living in mansions and driving custom luxury cars performing pay for play apparition events out of their smart homes with manicured lawns and tennis courts.

10. Attendence. Lourdes and Fatima each get twice the pilgrims Medjugorje does even though they are 2-3 times older.

11. The sites. Lourdes and Fatima are solemn and reverent with magnifcent basilicas and candle light processions. Medjugorje is like a resort town under the pretense of religion. Sickening ultra moden luxury.

12. Profit? The lion's share of the profit from Lourdes and Fatima goes back into the church while Medjugorje funds go to the visionairies and other filthy rich opportunists like Steve Shawl.

13. The supporters. Lourdes and Fatima are supported by committed, devout, prolife Catholics while Medjugorje is supported by pathological modernist, pro abort pigs like Donald Hartley.
